Choosing the right machines to ensure hygiene on all flooring types

Facilities managers looking for machines which will improve hygiene and deliver excellent floorcare across multiple flooring types need look no further than the Multiwash™ PRO scrubber dryer range from Truvox International.

Introduced as an evolution of the popular and successful Multiwash™ II range, the Multiwash PRO is available in 24cm, 34cm and 44cm cleaning widths, and is effective on all floors – from carpets to hard floors, and escalators to entrance matting. Last year, Truvox added the Multiwash PRO Steam and the Multiwash PRO Battery to the range.

“As a leading global manufacturer and supplier of commercial and industrial floorcare machines, we have always prided ourselves in listening to our customers and the addition of Steam and Battery to the Multiwash PRO range is a direct result of customer input coupled with our own diligent push for innovation and technical excellence,” says Truvox International Executive Director, Gordon McVean.

“Each machine in the Multiwash PRO range is easy to use, manoeuvre and maintain. They wash, scrub and dry in a single pass, giving improved and unrivalled cleaning results, and leaving floors ready for your customers and staff to walk on.”

Enter Steam and Battery

The Multiwash PRO Steam provides exceptional cleaning results due to its counter-rotating brushes, but with the additional steam function, it also sanitises floors. Tested in a certified laboratory to remove >99.99% of S. aureus, E. coli, P. aeruginosa and B. subtilis bacteria, it improves hygiene, and delivers improved infection control, as with the addition of the steam, dirt and grime is removed more easily than with traditional cleaning methods.

Meanwhile, the Multiwash PRO Battery is designed for use in areas without power, and effective on all floors – with brushes available for carpets, hard floors, escalators and entrance matting. With a run-time of up to 60 minutes, it delivers excellent productivity. The counter-rotating cylindrical brushes scrub and lift dirt, giving a more hygienic and deeper clean. With no trailing cables, the Multiwash PRO Battery minimises the risk of trips and slips, and with a reduced 2 hour charge time, compared to the previous model, alongside a quick-change battery system, it also ensures minimum down-time when charging.

Cleaning 24/7

“Since the pandemic, hygiene has become the biggest priority in all premises and cleaning has become more of a ‘front of house activity’,” says Gordon McVean. “Gone are the days when cleaning was usually carried out only at night as if it was a secret. Healthcare premises work around the clock, so there is no choice other than to clean while people are around. Overtly visible cleaning reassures staff and visitors, so it is also important that facilities managers choose machines which look professional, clean and well maintained – and which operatives feel proud to use.

“To help facilities managers choose the most appropriate floorcare machines, we offer a site visit. Taking into account the environment, the flooring type, the footfall traffic, and the required cleaning frequency, we can then recommend the right machines.

“While all of our machines are designed to be easy and intuitive to use, it is worth adding that once a machine has been supplied, we can provide training for operatives, and that’s supported by what’s available on our website and on YouTube. All our machines are reliable, simple to use and easy to maintain. Our online training videos provided step by step guides on how to get the best from our machines, and we also have a training facility at our showroom in Southampton.”
